Alphasource ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Budget mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Budget on iOS or Android.
Summary
Budget is designed as a personal finance tool. Financial data you enter — such as transactions, categories, and budget amounts — is stored locally on your device. We do not sell your personal information.
Information you provide
When you use Budget, you may enter or store:
- Transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, and categories
- Budget limits and financial goals you configure
- Optional notes or labels you add to entries
- App preferences such as currency and display settings
Information collected automatically
We may collect limited technical information to keep the app working reliably, such as:
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs (if you opt in to sharing them via your device or app settings)
- Basic usage analytics to understand feature adoption and fix bugs
We do not collect your bank login credentials through Budget unless a future version explicitly offers a linked account feature and discloses that separately.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide core budgeting features inside the app
- Improve stability, performance, and usability
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Comply with legal obligations when required
Data storage and security
By default, your budgeting data is stored on your device. If you enable backup or sync features (such as device cloud backup or a future sync service), your data may also be stored by that provider under their terms. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we process.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only:
- With service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., crash reporting), under confidentiality obligations
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users and Alphasource
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete data you have provided
- Export your budgeting data where the app supports export
- Opt out of non-essential analytics where available in settings
- Delete the app to remove locally stored data from your device

Budget is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International users

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Budget after changes means you accept the updated policy.
