Alphasource ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Cradlecare mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when parents and caregivers use Cradlecare to track infant growth and care on iOS or Android.
Summary
Cradlecare may contain sensitive health-related information about infants and children. We treat this data carefully. By default, care logs are stored on your device. We do not sell personal information or use child health data for advertising.
Information you provide
When you use Cradlecare, you may enter or store:
- Infant profile information such as name, date of birth, and sex assigned at birth (if you choose to provide it)
- Growth measurements (weight, length/height, head circumference)
- Feeding logs (breastfeeding, bottle, solids), sleep sessions, and diaper changes
- Milestones, symptoms, medications, notes, and photos you add
- Caregiver account or app settings you configure
- Information you send when contacting support
Information collected automatically
We may collect limited technical information, such as:
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs (if enabled on your device)
- Aggregated usage data to improve reliability and features
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide tracking, charts, reminders, and history features
- Sync data across your devices if you enable sync or backup features
- Improve app performance, security, and usability
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations when required
Health information disclaimer
Cradlecare is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information you log is for personal record-keeping and sharing with your healthcare provider at your discretion.
Data storage and security
Care logs are stored locally on your device unless you enable cloud backup, device backup, or a sync feature offered in the app. We use reasonable measures to protect information we process. You are responsible for securing your device and choosing who can access the app.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data only:
- With service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., crash reporting), under confidentiality obligations
- When you choose to export or share records (e.g., with a pediatrician)
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
Children's privacy
Cradlecare is intended for use by parents and legal guardians to track information about their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Edit or delete logs and profiles within the app
- Export data where the app supports export
- Remove app data by uninstalling Cradlecare
- Contact us for privacy-related requests
International users
If you use Cradlecare from outside your home country, limited technical data may be processed where we or our providers operate. Infant care data remains on your device unless you enable backup or sync.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
